Emergency access is also very important in our commercial shopping centers. I have witnessed many times cars parking in marked fire lanes. During an emergency event, it is essential that emergency vehicles are provided with unobstructed access to the building. Obstructions can delay first responders from proceeding, thereby endangering the public.

We need emergency parking areas from if there is ever any emergency. Not only will you get a ticket for parking in a emergency zone, you might end up with a broken window in the case of a fire. As a Fire Department we need easy access to a hydrant. If your car is blocking one, we may have to break a window/s to get the hose connected.
